Using Virtualenvwrapper on Mac OS X

Installing virtualenvwrapper with pip

sudo easy_install pip
sudo pip install virtualenv
sudo pip install virtualenvwrapper

append virtualenvswrapper into your profile file

source /usr/local/bin/virtualenvwrapper.sh

make virtual envs directory

mkdir ~/.virtualenvs

create virtual environment named ‘myproject’

cd ~/.virtualenvs
virtualenv --no-site-packages myproject

working on new virtualenvs

workon myproject

quit virtual envs
